Practical NDIS Support Coordination Training — From Understanding the Role to Doing the Job

Support Coordination is much more than connecting Participants with providers. A skilled Support Coordinator needs to understand NDIS plans and funding, identify risks and barriers, implement supports, monitor budgets, work collaboratively with providers and Allied Health and build participant's capacity. They need to know the impact the Industry changes may have on their Participants and plan accordingly.

This comprehensive NDIS Support Coordination training takes you through the role from beginning to end — showing you not only what a Support Coordinator is responsible for, but how to practically carry out the work.

You’ll learn how to onboard a new Participant, understand and implement their plan, manage Support Coordination hours, review existing services, engage new supports, work with providers and Allied Health, respond to emerging risks, prepare NDIS reports and support Participants through plan changes and reassessments.

Knowing the NDIS Is not the same as knowing wow to be a Support Coordinator. Understanding NDIS terminology is only the beginning. Support Coordinators need to know what to do when a Participant first comes to them, how to prioritise funded hours, what information to obtain, how to review current supports, how to communicate with providers, what needs to be documented and when action needs to be escalated. This training brings those pieces together into a practical Support Coordination workflow so you can understand what to do next — and why.

Whether you are new to Support Coordination, moving into the role, or wanting to strengthen your current practice, the focus is on giving you the knowledge, practical systems and confidence to provide person-centred and effective Support Coordination.
