For over six years, DPT (formerly MPD Provider Training) has been a trusted provider of high-quality training to thousands of NDIS providers and their staff. We specialise in Compliance Training, Support Coordination, and Informed Care, with a focus on transforming regulatory requirements into practical, real-world knowledge. Our mission is simple: to make compliance meaningful to ensure the delivery of safe, quality supports and services, protecting your Participants, Staff and Business. We help you not only understand the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators but also apply them confidently, effectively and practically in your day-to-day operations.
Our Support Coordination training is delivered by a highly experienced Senior Support Coordinator currently working in the field, while our Informed Care series is led by a qualified Counsellor with hands-on industry expertise. All our training is regularly updated to reflect the latest NDIS updates, regulatory changes, and evolving best practices—so you receive relevant, high-quality training that makes a real difference.
With over seven years of experience in the NDIS industry, I’m Sonia Johnston—a Senior Support Coordinator, Provider, Trainer and Consultant, dedicated to helping professionals navigate the complexities of NDIS compliance, support coordination, and best practice service delivery.
My work is grounded in real-world experience, having supported countless Participants with Complex Psychosocial and Neurological Disabilities, including SIL Participants. I have lived experience with CPTSD, ASD, and ADHD, giving me a deep, personal understanding of disability from the client’s perspective and the importance of truly person-centred approaches.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with Participants, providers, NDIS planners and auditors, which has given me a unique insight into what is actually needed and works in day-to-day service delivery.
My passion for training grew from frustration—both as a worker and provider—at the lack of practical, accessible guidance available from NDIS and compliance documentation. If we don’t understand something, how can we do it safely and properly? That’s why my training is not just compliance-based; it’s focused on the “how”—clear, actionable guidance that empowers professionals to do their best work with confidence.
My background in political and investigative journalism further enhances my ability to craft compelling applications and compliance documentation that support funding requests and tells the real story, enabling me to guide and teach others. I stay actively involved in the industry and ensure all my training is current with the latest NDIS updates, regulatory changes, and evolving best practices—so you receive relevant, high-quality support that makes a real difference.

I see every day the difference it makes to our participants and clients when we are equipped with knowledge and skills, delivered with empathy and compassion. It allows us to better understand them their reactions, their behaviours—and to provide informed support around the impact their disability has on their lives. As a result, we see fewer behaviours of concern and far better outcomes, including greater empowerment. I believe in being real and honest, and in meeting people where they’re at—always with humour and unconditional positive regard. I hope you can join us soon.
Blessings, Siân
